Climate Services

Room: Vingen 1+2
Time: 11.00-12.30

Session chairs: Prof. Tina Schmid Neset (Linköping University), Prof. Erik Kjellström (SMHI)

This session invites presentations on climate services from all domains, focusing on both climate mitigation and adaptation applications. In accordance with the EC Roadmap for climate services[1], we employ a broad definition, including any ’’transformation of climate-related data — together with other relevant information — into customized products such as projections, forecasts, information, trends, economic analysis, assessments, counselling on best practices, development and evaluation of solutions and any other service in relation to climate that may be of use for the society at large. As such, these services include data, information and knowledge that support adaptation, mitigation and disaster risk management (DRM).’’ We welcome examples of climate services for a variety of geographical and sectorial domains, as well as presentations addressing co-design processes, end-user involvement and evaluations. This session specifically encourages presentations of new approaches to climate services, as well as joint presentations of scientists and stakeholder partners from all domains.
