Ongoing and future global warming affects the Swedish mean climate and variability with various impacts on society, economy and the environment. These changes include long-term changes in temperature, precipitation and snow cover as well as extreme events such as heatwaves, heavy precipitation, droughts and wind storms. In this session, we will address the impacts that such changes in climate have had so far and will have in the future on Swedish society, either directly or indirectly by increasing the likelihood of climate-related hazards such as flooding or wildfires. We welcome discussions on a wide range of impacts, including impacts on cities, health, air quality, agriculture and forestry as well as socio-economic impacts and impacts on the environment in general. We also encourage in relation to climate risks and climate adaptation, mitigating the adverse effects of climate change.
