This session will explore the climate impacts of global warming on the sectors of Energy, Industry, Agriculture and Food, Forests and Land Use, Transport, Buildings, and Cities in Sweden. UNEP has specifically identified these six sectors for their potential to reduce emissions sufficiently to keep the world below the 1.5°C target. We agree that this must be done and discuss how and if processes in such transformations of such sectors affect their adaptive capacity to deal with climate change impacts. We welcome discussions within each of these sectors, focusing on climate impacts, vulnerabilities, and trade-offs/synergies in mitigation and adaptation processes to enhance our understanding of effective strategies and solutions for a sustainable and resilient future enabling emission reductions within these key areas.
